There is much debate over Gaara’s true fate, but one thing is for sure: he is not dead. Gaara was kidnapped by Jiraiya and taken to the Land of Waves, where he was kept in a coma for years. Jiraiya used his powers to bring Gaara back to life, but the young ninja has yet to fully recover.
