Android 4.1 Jelly Bean was released in November of last year, and Android 4.2 “KitKat” was released in October of this year. If you’re running Android 4.1 or 4.2, you may want to update to KitKat so that your device can take advantage of the new features and improvements that have been added since Jelly Bean was released. To update your Android device to KitKat, follow these steps:
- Open the Settings app on your phone and navigate to System > About Phone > Software Update.
- Tap on the Update button and select Download and Install from the list of options that appears.
- Your phone will start downloading the update, which may take a few minutes depending on your internet connection speed. Once it’s finished, tap on the Install button to begin the installation process.
- Once the installation is complete, you’ll be prompted to restart your phone. Do so by pressing the Power button on your device and selecting Restart from the menu that appears. ..
