Xbox Live account is a service that allows users to connect with each other and play games online. If you lose your Xbox Live account, you can’t play any of your games or join any online communities. To unlink your Xbox Live account from Microsoft Account, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Xbox Live.
  2. In the top right corner of the screen, click on the three lines that say “Account Settings.”
  3. On the left side of the Account Settings screen, click on “Link My Account.”
  4. In the text box that appears, type in your name and password for your Microsoft account.
  5. Click on “Link My Account.”
  6. The link will appear in your inbox and you will be able to log in to Xbox Live using your new name and password.
