If you’re having trouble logging in to your RuneScape account, there are a few things you can do to reset it. Resetting your account will erase all of your progress and data, but it’s usually the best solution if you can’t log in or if your account is having problems. Here’s how to do it:

  1. If you’re using a desktop computer, open RuneScape and click the “RuneScape” icon on the desktop.
  2. If you’re using a mobile device, open the “RuneScape” app and tap on the “Menu” button in the top-left corner.
  3. Under “Account,” select “Reset Account.”
  4. Enter your password and confirm it. You’ll be asked to choose a new name for your character (this won’t affect your current game progress). Click “Next.”
  5. You’ll be asked to choose a new password for your account (this won’t affect your current game progress). Enter it and click “Next.” You’ll then be asked to confirm that you want to delete all of your data from RuneScape (this includes items in your bank, characters you’ve created, and more). Click “Yes.” ..

-Read through the information carefully and make sure that this is what you truly want to do. If you’re not sure, or if there’s another reason why you want to delete your RuneScape account, please get in touch with us first via our Support Centre or chat support.

-You must be the RuneScape account holder to request a deletion, and at least 18 years old.

-If you have any RuneCoins on your RuneScape account, they will be lost forever if this process is completed. Please ensure you have withdrawn them first.

Please note: RuneScape Classic accounts cannot be deleted but can still have membership cancelled to free up RuneScape username space or prevent further payments being made. -If you have RuneScape Bonds on your account they will be lost forever if this process is completed. Please ensure you have redeemed them first by clicking the redeem button on the bonds page.

-The RuneScape deletion process cannot be reversed and an account consumed by the system may not always work as intended in future updates/upgrades of RuneScape software or systems after any such deletion occurs. This could include changes to the email address, username, password and security questions set up for your RuneScape account which might stop access to RuneScape entirely.
