If you’re like most parents, you probably have a Sonos speaker in your home. And if you’re anything like me, you probably also have a few of those little voice-activated devices that play music from your phone or computer. But what if you want to reset your Sonos speaker? Or any other voice-activated device? There’s no need to go out and buy a new one - there are plenty of ways to do this without having to go through the hassle of returning an old one. Here are three easy steps to reset a Sonos speaker:

  1. Open the device’s settings and select “Reset.” This will take you to a screen where you can choose how long you want the reset process to take. I usually wait about 10 minutes for my speaker to reboot after resetting.
  2. Once the speaker has rebooted, open “My Sonos” on your phone or computer and select “Reset Speaker.” This will take you back into the settings for your speaker - this time, it should be set up so that it plays music from your phone or computer again as soon as it reboots. If everything goes according to plan, your speaker should now be working as it did before - playing music from whichever source(s) you used before!
