If you’ve forgotten your Facebook password, or if you just want to take a break from the social media site, there are a few ways to get back in without having to reset your account. Here’s how to do it using your phone number:
- Log in to Facebook on your computer.
- Click on the three lines in the top left corner of the main screen and select Settings.
- Under “General,” click on “Account Details.”
- Enter your email address and password into the appropriate fields and click on “Save Changes.”
- On the next page, under “Account Type,” select “Phone Number.” If you have two-factor authentication enabled, enter both of your verification codes here as well (you’ll see them if you have them saved). Otherwise, click on “Next” and skip ahead to step 6 below.
- Enter your phone number into the field labeled “Phone Number” and click on “Next.” You’ll be asked to confirm that this is really your number by entering it into a text message box and clicking on Send Message. Once you’ve done that, Facebook will send a code via text message to your phone that you’ll need in order for the next step to work correctly. (If you don’t have two-factor authentication enabled, or if you can’t receive text messages, skip ahead to step 8 below.)
- Once you’ve received the code from Facebook, open a new browser window or tab and go to facebooklogin.com/signin . You’ll be asked for your email address and password again; enter them both this time and click on Sign In . You’ll now be taken back to the main Facebook screen where you can start using it as usual! ..
You can also create your Facebook account with an email address. If this is the case, you will need to have an active email inbox that is registered on your phone number. Then log in to your mobile Facebook settings by going to the setting and privacy menu from the drop down-down list of app icons on your iPhone or iPad’s Home screen or tap on the Setting option on an Android device. On Samsung devices touch Apps -> Settings -> Application manager -> All apps -> Facebook, then select “Force stop” after which click on clear data and clear cache options under application settings. After changing all password information, go through the registration process again using your phone number for security verification.
How can I recover my account with a forgotten password?
If you are unable to access or log in, go to Facebook on the web and click on Forgot password at the bottom of the login page. Now select “I don’t have a Facebook account”. Now enter your phone number and tap on the “Can’t text?” button. After this, just wait while our agent will send a confirmation SMS message with a verification code to verify yourself. Once verified and provided validation code into the box provided onscreen, press the continue button. Then select your country from drop-down list including US/Canada under the Get an SMS Verification Code heading for receiving a new password along with two security codes by entering the first letters of those numbers into another given box. That’s it! You’re done with resetting your password.
How can I recover my old Facebook account without email and password?
You need to write to Facebook and ask them for the email, but they will not give it. There is no way you can recover your account without it. You should remember that everybody has only one chance. Do not lie about your identity (I already read a post saying: “My name was changed to something I did not like and I want my old name back.” They will never give you your old account.
You also may be asked where you live, or what is your birthday.
I have given up my Facebook account and deactivated all my profiles to protect them from theft. I created new accounts for the same reason. Before deactivating my old account I sent this letter:
A week ago I had an account on Facebook with the following email address: [email protected]. Now that compromised account was stolen by some unknown user. He/She has changed her name to [name of one person], used names like “John Smith” as a job title and location (in the USA) and sometimes in Russia (just born there). Please disable his profile immediately and block his IP addresses.
