If you’ve deleted your Google account, there’s a good chance you’re feeling pretty bummed. But don’t worry, there are ways to get it back. First, make sure you’ve actually deleted your account. If you just forgot to log out, try logging back in and trying again. If that doesn’t work, try one of these tips:
- Reset your password: This is the most common way people lose their Google accounts. To reset your password, go to google.com/accounts and sign in with your email address and new password. (If you have two-factor authentication enabled, you’ll need to enter the code from the security key too.)
- Use a different browser: If you use Chrome or Firefox on a computer at home, try using another browser on your phone or tablet. That way if you accidentally delete your account while browsing on mobile devices, at least some of your data will still be saved locally.
- Restore from an old backup: If none of those work, try restoring your account from an old backup. Go to google.com/accounts/backup and select the date range for which you want to restore data (usually 30 days). Then click “Create Backup.” You can also use this feature if someone else has access to your computer and they’ve accidentally backed up your Google account information for you. Just give them the link to the backup file so they can restore it for you if needed. ..
