If you own a Ps4 and want to read its hard drive on your PC, there are a few things you need to know. First, make sure your Ps4 is connected to the internet. Second, make sure your PC has the proper software installed. Third, follow these simple steps:
- On your Ps4, go to Settings > System > Storage and select “Format”. This will erase all of the data on the hard drive and create a new one.
- Connect your Ps4 to your PC using an appropriate cable. 3. On your PC, open up Windows Explorer (or another file explorer program) and navigate to where the Ps4’s hard drive is located (usually C:). 4. Right-click on the hard drive and select “Open with…” from the pop-up menu. 5. Select “Windows Disk Image Tool” from this list and click OK. 6. On the main window of Windows Disk Image Tool, click on the drop-down box next to “Image Type” and select “Image File Format” from the list that appears (usually it will be .iso or .img). 7. Click on the Browse button next to “File Name” and locate the .iso or .img file that you downloaded from your Ps4 earlier (usually this will be in C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\PSVita\System Data). 8. Click on Open button next to “File Name” and wait for Windows Disk Image Tool to finish copying over all of the data from your Ps4’s hard drive onto your computer’s disk image file (this can take a while depending on how large of a hard drive your Ps4 has). 9. Once Windows Disk Image Tool has finished copying over all of the data, right-click on it again and select “Extract All…” 10 ..
