If you’re like most people, you probably rely on the suction cup to open your iPhone 5. But if you’ve lost or damaged your suction cup, there are other ways to open your phone. Here’s how to do it:
- Turn off your iPhone 5 and remove the battery if it’s removable.
- Pry up one end of the screen bezel using a sharp object such as a knife or a fingernail. Don’t use any force; just use enough pressure to start lifting the screen off of its frame.
- If there’s a Home button and Touch ID sensor on the front of the phone, lift up on those too, then pull out the battery and SIM card tray.
- Pry up one end of the case using a sharp object such as a knife or fingernail and then pull it off of the phone. The front-facing camera and earpiece should come out with it. ..
