If you’re looking to mod your PlayStation 4 controller, there are a few things you’ll need before getting started. The first is a soldering iron and some solder. You’ll also need some wire cutters, a screwdriver, and an electric drill. First, take the controller apart by removing the screws that hold it together. Once it’s apart, you’ll see two circuit boards - one on the front and one on the back. The front board is where all of the buttons and joysticks are located, while the back board contains all of the electronics. To mod your controller, you’ll first need to remove the back board. To do this, use a screwdriver to unscrew each of the four screws that hold it in place. Once it’s loose, carefully remove it from the controller. Next, you’ll need to remove all of the wires that are connected to the back board. There are six in total - three on each side of the board. Once they’re removed, cut them short using wire cutters so that they’re just long enough to reach their respective ports on either side of the front board (see image below). Now that both boards are free from each other, it’s time to start soldering! Solder each wire onto its corresponding port on either side of the front board (see image below). Make sure not to overheat your solders or they may melt down and ruin your controller! Once everything is soldered in place, reattach both boards using screws and tighten them down until they’re secure (see image below). Now you’re ready to start modding your controller! ..
