If you’re like most people, you probably use Instagram to keep in touch with friends and family. But what if you don’t want your friends to see all of your mutual friends? You can hide them using the app’s filters. Here are a few tips:
- Choose a filter that hides Mutual Friends from view. For example, if you want to hide all of your friends’ posts about food, choose “Food.”
- Change the opacity of the filter so that it’s only visible when needed. For example, if you want to see Mutual Friends only when someone posts about a product, change “Product” to “Only when needed.”
- Use different filters for different types of social media platforms. For example, on Instagram, use “Food” and “Photos.” On Facebook, use “Posts” and “Friends.” On Twitter, use “@mentalfriends” or “@mutualfriends”.
- If you’re using Instagram Stories, make sure that Mutual Friends is not enabled in the story settings. This will prevent other people from seeing your posts about mutual friends without having to open the app again!
