Xbox One controllers are notorious for being unresponsive, especially in the cold weather. If your controller is unresponsive after a few minutes of use, it’s likely that the plastic bumpers on the back of the controller have become detached and are no longer holding it in place. To fix this issue, you’ll need to remove the bumpers and replace them with new ones. To do this, you’ll first need to remove the screws that hold the back of the controller together. Once these are removed, you’ll be able to remove the bumpers. Once these are gone, you’ll need to replace them with new ones. To do this, you’ll first need to take a picture of each bumper so that you can easily identify which one needs to be replaced. Then, you’ll need to cut out each one of the old bumps using a scissors or a knife. Once these have been cut out, they will need to be glued onto the new plastic bumper counterparts. Once all of these have been done, your controller should now be much more responsive!
