- Remove any screws that are located around the back of the PS4 controller. This will allow you access to the buttons and cords.
- Take off the plastic cover that is located over the buttons and cords. This cover can be found near where your Joy-Con controllers sit in your console’s system tray. It should come off easily with some gentle pressure from your hands. You may need help if there are too many screws holding it in place. Once it has been removed, look at what is inside of it: There should be two Phillips head screws located near one another (they look like circles). These screws should now be removed from their posts (they should now look like black circles). If they were still attached when you took off the plastic cover, then they must have been held in place by some adhesive or other type of material! Now that everything has been removed, look at what is left: There should now be four Phillips head screws located near one another (they look like squares). These screws must now also be removed from their posts (they should now look like squares).
