If you’re a photo editor like me, you know that finding lost photos is a common occurrence. But how do you find them in Lightroom? There are a few ways to find photos that have been deleted or lost in Lightroom:
- Use the “Find Photos” tool on the left side of the main Lightroom window. This will list all of your photos, organized by album. You can click on any photo to view it in detail, or drag it to the bottom of the list to hide it from view.
- Use the “Search” tool on the right side of the main Lightroom window. This will search for specific keywords in your photos, and will return results based on how many times they’ve been searched for and how recently they were last used. If you don’t want to search through all of your photos, you can use one of Lightroom’s filters to limit your results to only those that match your criteria: for example, if you want to find all photos with a location tag, use “Location Search.”
- Use Finder’s “Go To Folder” command (or equivalent) to navigate directly to your photo library folder and select any photo from there (assuming it’s still open). This will take you directly to that photo’s location in Lightroom!
