If you’re unhappy with your mail.com account, deleting it is the first step. Here’s how:
- Log in to your mail.com account.
- Click on the “Your Account” link in the top right corner of the page.
- On the “Your Account” page, click on the “Delete My Account” link in the top left corner of the page.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to delete your account. ..
If you don’t see Delete Account listed in the available options, then you will need to create an email address before deleting your account. To create one click on “Set Up An Email Address” and follow the onscreen instructions. Keep in mind that without an email address, you’ll not be able to sign in to Yahoo! Mail again once your account has been deleted.
Please be aware that deleting your Yahoo! Mail account will also delete any other accounts that are linked to it (such as Flickr or Messenger). You may want to sign in to these accounts and save any valuable information before proceeding with account deletion. If you had a Yahoo! Auctions Account, please click here for more details on what happens when you delete your Yahoo! ID.
You can delete an email account from your device:
From the Home screen, tap Apps.
Under Settings tap Accounts.
Tap your Google or Exchange® Email account. If you have shown multiple accounts in the Accounts screen, tap Menu and choose to Show all accounts to display a full listing of your accounts.
In the Account options menu, tap Remove account.
When prompted to confirm the action, tap OK. The device removes the email account from it and deletes all emails associated with that account from the device’s storage (but not from your Gmail or Exchange server).
After you remove an email on this device for the first time, you cannot re-add it again.
