If you’re like most PS3 owners, you probably have a lot of games, movies, and other content stored on your system. But sometimes it can be tough to figure out how to delete something from your PS3. In this article, we’ll show you how to delete items from your PS3 in easy steps. First things first: make sure that the item you want to delete is actually stored on your PS3. If it’s not, then it won’t be accessible through the steps we’ll show you later on. Once you’ve verified that the item is actually stored on your PS3, follow these simple steps:
- Go to the “System” menu and select “Storage.” This will open up a list of all the storage devices connected to your PS3.
- Find the item you want to delete and select it by pressing down on the button next to its name. This will bring up a list of options that include “Delete” and “Move.” Select “Delete” from this menu.
- You’ll now be prompted to confirm that you want to delete this item. Select “Yes” if you’re sure about what you’re doing, or select “No” if you’d like to keep the item but don’t have any use for it right now. ..
You can access the PlayStation 3 system storage through the XMB menu. Once there select “system” at the top of the screen followed by “delete”. You can now choose whether to free up space on your ps3 or to remove unwanted saved data and applications (games). By selecting ‘Game’, ‘Video’ or ‘Photo’ in particular categories, you can quickly see what files are using space and delete as necessary. Files that have been downloaded via PlayStation Network will show a download arrow underneath them if you want to delete them.

In this tutorial we will show you how to do it with Cousin Brian’s favorite game: Call of Duty Black Ops 2 because nobody likes him anyway so we might as well get rid of his junk off our system too right? The good news is that it doesn’t matter what model (fat/slim) system you have or even if you’re running firmware. You can also clear data for multiple games at once!
On your PS3, go to the Game menu and highlight (or select) the game you want to delete. Hold down the Triangle button on your controller until this screen pops up.
Scroll to “Game Data Utility” and press X. It’s not quite obvious but that is what we’re looking for so no need to worry about scrolling past it or anything like that.
You’ll be presented with 2 options: Delete all and Delete all saved data for this title. We obviously want the latter as we are going to delete our save game file and thus free up space on our hard drive. Be careful though because this will erase your save game entirely from
