If you’re a Gmail user on an Android phone, there’s a good chance you’ve noticed that the “Folders” tab in the main Gmail screen is missing. That’s because Gmail doesn’t support folders on Android devices - it uses instead a system-wide “folder” approach. To delete folders in Gmail on an Android phone, you’ll need to first create a new folder and then add the files you want to delete to that folder. Here are some tips for deleting folders in Gmail on an Android phone:
- Open the Google Play Store and search for “Gmail” to find the app’s full list of features.
- Tap on the “Gmail” icon in the top left corner of your screen and select “New Folder.”
- Enter a name for your new folder and tap on “Create.”
- In the next window, you’ll be asked to choose how many files to add to your new folder. You can either add all of your files at once or add one file at a time (depending on how many files you want to delete). Click on “Add Files.”
- When finished, select “Delete Files.”
