If you’re a user of Instagram, there’s a good chance that you’ve used the deletion feature to remove yourself from the platform. But what if you don’t know how to delete an account? Here’s how:
- Log in to Instagram and click on the three lines in the top left corner of your screen. This will take you to your account settings.
- Scroll down and click on the “delete account” link under “personal information.” This will take you to a page where you can choose how to delete your account.
- If you want to delete your account permanently, select “delete my account now.” If you want to keep your account but change your password, select “change password.” If you don’t want to delete your account, select “okay.”
Open the Instagram app and go into settings.
Select “Delete My Account” or “Deactivate My Account”.
Enter your password and click “Continue”. You will then be greeted with a message that says either “Your Instagram account has been deleted.” Or “You cannot delete your Instagram account because it’s required for some features.”
Tips: Instagram makes you delete your account by deleting the Instagram app from a mobile device. If you have Instagram on a computer, it’s possible to deactivate an Instagram account which will then prompt for someone to reactivate the profile instead of permanently removing everything that is attached with their username and password. It should be noted that when a user deletes or inactivates their Instagram account, they’ll lose all photos uploaded since joining Instagram including private ones as well as followers and likes.
How to Report Instagram Account
Instagram is not only a great way to share your pictures, but it can also be an avenue for troublemakers. Instagram has rules and guidelines that are set in place by Instagram themselves and if one person does not follow those rules then the Instagram account gets deleted or suspended indefinitely. If you know someone who should have their Instagram profile removed, they might be violating Instagram’s terms of service (TOS) which could put them at risk for being reported to Instagram on behalf of breaking the TOS agreement.

How to delete someone fake Instagram account
In Instagram’s Terms of Service, they state that Instagram is not responsible for the content posted on its platform. Instagram also does not allow fraud and spamming activities nor any activity which would harm another person or entity including hacking into an Instagram account. You may be wondering how to delete someone from your Instagram account without following these guidelines? The answer is simple: you can’t!
The best thing to do if you want to completely eliminate a user altogether is to block them. Once blocked, you will no longer receive notifications when they post anything new as well as their updates won’t show up in your feed anymore.
You can report a fraud account to Instagram by tapping on the three vertical dots next to their username or photo and selecting “Report.” Instagram will investigate the account to determine whether it is in violation of Instagram’s Terms. If Instagram finds that they are, then your report has been successful!
You can also block another user if you don’t want them tagging you or viewing any of your content. To do this go into their profile by tapping on their username from one of your posts and select “Block” under Block User at the bottom-right corner (the button with a person blocking). This ensures that only you can see that persons comments when scrolling through other users’ photos.
