If you’re like most people, your garage is one of the hottest places in your house. And, unless you’ve got a lot of money to spend on air conditioning, there’s not much you can do about it. But don’t despair! There are a few simple things you can do to cool down your garage without resorting to windows. Here are four tips:
- Open the door and let in some fresh air. A breeze will help circulate the heat and make your garage feel cooler.
- Use fans to circulate the air. If you have an overhead fan, set it on high and point it towards the door or windows of the garage. If you don’t have an overhead fan, use a box fan or another type of fan that can be placed near the door or windows.
- Install a ceiling fan. Ceiling fans are great for cooling down large spaces like garages, and they’re also portable so you can take them with you if necessary. Just be sure to get a model that has blades that turn slowly so as not to create too much noise (a fast-turning blade will create more noise than a slow blade).
- Install insulation in your walls and ceilings. Insulation helps keep heat inside buildings, which in turn makes rooms like garages cooler (and more comfortable). ..
