If you’re like most people, you probably have a PlayStation 4 and a Chromebook connected to your home network. But what if you want to use your Chromebook as your primary gaming device? That’s where HDMI comes in. To connect your PlayStation 4 and Chromebook, first make sure that both devices are connected to the same network. Then, use the following steps to connect the PlayStation 4 and Chromebook:
- Connect the PlayStation 4 to your home network using an Ethernet cable.
- Connect the Chromebook to your home network using an HDMI cable.
- Open a Chrome browser window and type “hdmi” into the address bar. The browser will search for an HDMI port on your computer that it can connect to. If there is no such port, it will show you a list of available ports on your computer, including one for HDMI that is not connected to anything else. Select the “hdmi” port and click on it. The Chrome browser will create a new file called “Chromebook_HDMI_Port_Config.” In this file, you’ll need to set up some basic settings for how Chromebook works with PlayStation4: Name: Playstation4_Chrome Address: C:\Program Files (x86)\PlayStation\PS4\config\chromebook_hdmi_port_config Description: This setting sets up how Chromebook works with Playstation4 when connected through HDMI Name: Playstation4_ChromeAddress: C:\Program Files (x86)\PlayStation\PS4\config\chromebook_hdmi_portable
