If you have a pet and live in a house with vinyl plank flooring, you know that accidents happen. And when accidents happen, pet urine can end up on the floor. If the urine has dried, it can be difficult to clean. But there are ways to clean pet urine from vinyl plank flooring that are both effective and easy to do. The first step is to remove as much of the urine as possible with a cloth or paper towel. If the urine has dried, use a vacuum cleaner with the hose attachment to suck up as much of the liquid as possible. Be sure to use caution while vacuuming, as you could end up sucking up debris along with the urine. Once most of the liquid has been removed, mix 1 cup of white vinegar with 2 cups of water in a large bowl and pour it over the area where the urine was located. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes before scrubbing it clean with a brush or sponge. Be sure to wear gloves and eye protection if necessary so that you don’t accidentally get any of the vinegar on your skin or eyes. After cleaning, rinse off all of the vinegar residue using water and dry off the area completely before applying new flooring. ..
