There are a few things you can do to clean an oil burner:

  1. Remove the spark plugs and clean them with a mild soap and water.
  2. Remove any build-up on the firebox by cleaning it with a mild soap and water.
  3. Clean the entire burner assembly with a mild soap and water, starting at the base and working your way up. Be sure to dry all parts before reassembly.
