If you’re a PlayStation 4 owner, there’s a good chance that you’ve heard of DLC packs and expansions for the console. But what do they actually mean? And how do you know if you’ve got them? DLC stands for “downloadable content.” It’s a term that refers to add-ons and packs that are available as part of games or software. DLC can be released on different platforms - for example, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC - but it’s most commonly found on the PlayStation 4. There are two main types of DLC: game-specific and content-based. Game-specific DLC is exclusive to a specific game, while content-based DLC includes everything from new levels to new characters. To check if you have any DLC installed on your PlayStation 4, open the system’s settings and select “PlayStation4” in the top left corner. Under “Software,” select “Games.” On the left side of this screen, under “System,” select “Software Update.” If there is an update for your game listed, install it and then check back in this section to see if there is any new DLC added. If not, your game may be updated automatically with new content as it becomes available.
