If you’re like most people, you probably use email to stay in touch with friends and family. But if you’re a PlayStation 4 gamer, there’s a good chance that you use your email to communicate with game developers and other members of the PlayStation community. One way to keep your email address private is to set up a PS4 account and use an alternate email address. But if you don’t want to create an account and use an alternate email address, there are a few ways that you can change your PS4 email on the console.

  1. Open the Settings app on your PS4 and select the Email tab. Underneath Email Address, select Change Email Address. Enter in a new email address and click OK.
  2. If you have an online account on PlayStation 4, sign in using that account’s login information instead of your PS4 account name or password. Under Email Address, select Change Email Address again and enter in your online account’s login information instead of your original email address. Click OK.
  3. If you don’t have an online account on PlayStation 4, sign in using the console’s built-in web browser (on most platforms). Under Email Address, select Change Email Address again and enter in your original email address instead of using the web browser’s login information. Click OK.
