How do I change my password on Meetme?

You can easily change your password by going into the Account Settings page on the app or through My Profile after signing in at meetme.com . You may also change your password by going to the Account Settings page and clicking on “Forgot Password?”

How do I change my profile picture? Your profile picture can be changed through your User Profile . Login to Meetme and click on the “Me” tab in the upper left corner. Next, hover over your name in the top right corner and click on “My Profile”. The next page will show all of your details (this includes your profile picture). Click on the photo icon to upload a new photo for yourself. Please note that ONLY pictures taken with a webcam or other digital camera can be uploaded as your profile picture. Images from the web are not permitted.

How do I change my private status? Your private status can be changed through your User Profile . Login to Meetme and click on the “Me” tab in the upper left corner. Next, hover over your name in the top right corner and click on “My Profile”. The next page will show all of your details (this includes your private status). Click on either “Public” or “Private” depending on how you wish to appear online when using our app. Please note that once you choose this setting it cannot be reversed unless you create a new account.

How do I delete my account? To delete an account, you must click on the “…” menu to the right of your name in the upper left corner and then select “Delete Account”. Once you confirm this, we will delete your account permanently. Please note that once your account is deleted it cannot be recovered.

How do I change my nickname? Your nickname can be changed through your User Profile . Login to Meetme and click on the “Me” tab in the upper left corner. Next, hover over your name in the top right corner and click on “My Profile”. The next page will show all of your details (this includes your nickname). On a computer or tablet, click on either ‘Edit’ (located under Real Name) or ‘Change Nickname’. On a phone tap on the pencil icon to edit and update this information.

How do I see who has deleted me? Go into your “Friends” tab from within the app. On a desktop, hover over your name at the top of the screen and click on “Me”. Next, move down to “My Profile”, then click on “View All Friends”, which will display a list of your friends. Clicking on each person in your list will show you when they blocked you or unfriended you.

How do I unsend/delete a message I sent? If someone sends a message that was not meant to be sent, there is no way for the sender to recall it once it’s been delivered or read by the recipient. There is no way to remove a message after it’s been sent, whether you’re the sender or the recipient.

When do messages get deleted? Messages in the system are kept for roughly 30 days. We continue to keep messages that haven’t been read by recipients so they can easily be found if needed — and also as a safety measure in case we need to investigate any reports of abuse on Meetme. The only time this might change is if we receive multiple user complaints about certain messages being abusive, racist or inappropriate. We will then look into these cases individually and take action based on our findings — including deleting these older messages.

If someone blocks me but I still see them on Meetme – what does that mean? Blocking someone will hide their messages from you, but it will NOT unblock them. The only way to see a person’s profile again is if they adjust their privacy settings or if you make another friend request to them and ask them to become your friend again.

Can I block someone who has blocked me? No. If someone blocks you, it means that they no longer want to interact with you on Meetme. This is permanent and there is no way for either party to reverse this decision. To be removed as friends, both users must delete each other at the same time.

Do messages get deleted automatically after being read by recipients? No — all messages are preserved in the system until clicked on by a user (or 30 days). This includes incoming messages. If you do not open messages, they will continue to remain unread in the system and remain there until you access them.
