If you’re looking to change your AliExpress credit card information, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. Now, I understand that this is probably done to crack down on fraud and theft where (for example) someone steals someone’s CC details and orders stuff under that person’s name, but it still seems very inconvenient at times – especially if yo u’re someone who likes to buy things from multiple sellers at once because shipping is faster or f o r the cost of shipping, you get a bonus from a promotion. This
scenario occurs quite a lot on AliExpress especially during big shopping holidays like Christmas, Black friday and Singles Day where multiple sellers offer free shipping for items that cost less than 100USD. Sometimes I’ll want to buy ten things at once but the system will only let me use four CC numbers (one per order).
Now , back when I first started using AliExpress in 2012-13, it was easier – you could see which credit cards were active and inactive based on a green/red colouring of the ” P urchase history ” page .
Nowadays, it is much more difficult to tell which CC numbers are active and deactivated. This is the main reason I am writing this article; t o provide a quick and handy reference for when you want to change your credit card details.
I have done some research into how to manage AliExpress Credit Card information by looking through the forums (such as th e ones here or here ) and I have also submitted a re quest to their customer service department via their support page. The results of my research are below in list format:
Imp ortant! If y ou c hange yo ur credit card information on the Aliexpress website, they will UPDATE the CC details on your account but you must also go to each individual order and change the card information over there too!!
How To Change Your Credit Card Information On The Aliexpress Website
Important!: Apparently, if you have a debit card (as opposed to a credit card) then it is possible that AliExpress may not update the old debit with the new credit because of legal reasons. If this happens, y ou can call up your bank or use their online banking service to temporarily turn off all transactions for your debit/bank account to ensure that you do not have any orders billed to the old CC!
– Log in to your AliExpress account. – Go to profile . – Click on the ” + ” symbol next to payments . It is at the bottom of the list and not very clear – see screenshot below. Now look for ” Credit Card Information”. It will be green if you have successfully completed step 6 (or credit card information) in this post, and it will show a red cross if you ha ve any deactivated credit cards that require changing/updating.
