Android devices come with a default storage location that is typically located in the root of the device’s filesystem. This location can be changed to a different location on your Android device by using the Settings app. To change the default storage location on your Android device, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app and open Storage.
  2. In Storage, you’ll see a list of folders that are associated with your Android device. The default storage location for your Android device will be listed in one of these folders. To change the default storage location for your Android device, select this folder and then select Change Storage Location.
  3. In Change Storage Location, you’ll need to provide information about where you want to place yourAndroid device’s storage space. You can choose to place yourAndroid device’s storage space in a specific folder or directory, or you can choose to create a new folder and put all of yourAndroid devices’ files into it. Once you’ve chosen a new storage location for your Android devices, click OK to finish changing the default storage location for your devices.
