If you’re a computer user, you know that changing your line ID can help improve your system’s performance. Line ID is the unique identifier for each line of text in a document. When you change your line ID, your document’s text will be updated automatically. To change your line ID on your computer, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Start menu and type “cmd.”
  2. Type “netstat -an” to view the network status of your computer.
  3. If there is a line in the network status report that matches the name of your line ID, then you can change it by editing the network status report and adding the new line’s id to the end of the list of lines.
