When you add a pending tag to an Instagram post, the app will send you an alert to let you know that it is waiting for your approval. You can approve the tag or not, but it’s important to do so carefully so that your followers don’t get confused and think that the post is live. To approve a pending tag, open Instagram and click on the three lines in the top left corner of the screen. On the left side of this screen, you’ll see a list of tags that are currently awaiting approval. Click on one of these tags and then click on the green check mark next to it. If you approve a tag without reading it first, your followers will see it as live and be able to follow along with your posts. If you approve a tag but don’t read it before posting, your followers may not be able to follow along because they won’t have received any notifications about what has been approved.
