Ability score improvement (ASI) is a mechanic in the fifth edition of the Dungeons and Dragons game that allows players to increase their character’s ability scores. ASI is a process that begins with choosing your character’s ability score, then rolling the dice to see how many points you get. Your character then gains an extra point for every two points you roll on the d6. This extra point can be used to improve any ability score, including your Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, and Intelligence scores. There are a few restrictions on how ASI can be used: -You cannot use ASI to raise your Charisma or Wisdom scores. -You cannot use ASI to raise your Constitution or Intelligence scores above 20. -You cannot use ASI to raise your Strength or Dexterity scores above 10. -You cannot use ASI to raise your Constitution or Intelligence scores above 8.
