Yes, you can delete your GoDaddy account.

Note: You cannot delete domain names that are registered with GoDaddy until their registration period ends. Domain names do not need to be attached to paid email accounts in order to be deleted.

Your email address will be marked as inactive (available for re-registration) and removed from your account within 14 days of receiving your request. If you do not have an active domain, it may take up to 6 more weeks for all records of your GoDaddy account with the exception of information in backup systems to be purged. It may take additional time to delete any archived copies of correspondence or files you send or receive through other services, such as FTP servers. Please note that we are only responsible for removing your information from our website, mail servers and internal backup systems; another service provider’s actions outside of this responsibility are beyond our control. Please contact them directly if you have any questions about their ability to delete information.

If you have an active domain name(s) with us, please contact your Registrar for instructions on managing the names. Some Registrars allow you to visit a specific website to delete the domain name or direct you to a different department within their company that can assist. If you are using an Authoritative Domain Name Server other than ours, our forwarders do not support changes to your NS records; they only point toward our network if we are listed as the primary or secondary DNS server and will remain in place until they expire (typically 9 months). You will need to contact your Registrar or IT provider for instructions on removing them at this time. Please note that all GoDaddy services associated with your domain name will be disabled once forwarded and it may take up to 7 days for all records of your account with the exception of information in backup systems, to be purged.
