However, soon after opening it, Light realizes that he has no control over who or what dies in the notebook – and as the days go on, he finds out that others have also been given this power.
- Attack on Titan – In this intense anime series, people are killed by giant Titans who live inside of walls. The only way to stop them is by finding and destroying these Walls.
- Naruto – In this popular series, Naruto Uzumaki is a young boy who must fight against powerful ninja clans in order to save his village from destruction. The dark ending to this series sees Naruto become the leader of an army made up of ninja who have been turned into monsters by their own techniques.
- Fullmetal Alchemist – In this dark anime series, Edward Elric is forced to turn into a human for reasons unknown but decides to stay as an alchemist in order to save his friends and family from destruction. The ending sees Edward discover that he has the ability to create objects with his mind and use them as weapons against those he opposes.
- Death Note II – After being freed from prison by Light, L (the protagonist in Death Note I) sets out on a mission to find all of the other users of the notebook before they can do any more damage.
